Despite the impact of the Covid-19
pandemic on our industry, our data shows that 2020 has marked a turning point for the European AgriFoodTech ecosystem. This has been primarily due to the fact that in 2019 Europe registered a record-breaking level of investment (over €3B) in AgriFoodTech companies which have continued to grow in Q1 2020.
However, as the global pandemic hit the global economy and we’re still trying to understand the economic impact on Europe, it’s realistic to predict that investment levels will slowly decline.
